Our Message
The Church of Jesus Christ was never meant to drift. It was designed to be anchored — in Christ, grounded in His Word, empowered by His Spirit, and activated through every believer.
This is not a message of condemnation. It is a call to alignment.
The Word defines truth, shapes belief, and anchors the Church against drift and cultural pressure.
The Holy Spirit empowers obedience, produces transformation, and keeps us aligned with Christ.
Prayer is not ritual — it is relational dependence that sustains victory and keeps the Church humble.
A victorious Church is not built on spectators, but on activated sons and daughters walking in purpose.
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer."
Acts 2:42
Many modern expressions of church are sincere, active, and well-intentioned. Worship can be strong. Teaching can be polished. Programs can be full. And yet, too often, we are producing believers who are inspired but not equipped, encouraged but not activated, comforted but not transformed.
Biblically, the Church was never designed to revolve around events. It was designed to form disciples. Jesus did not say, "Go and gather crowds." He said, "Go and make disciples." Discipleship is never accidental — it is the shaping of identity, belief, character, and obedience under the lordship of Christ.
"Victory is not sustained by information alone. Victory is sustained by formation."
Biblical formation is the intentional, Spirit-led process by which a believer is shaped into the image of Christ — in identity, character, thinking, and practice — through the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and life within biblical community.
One of the greatest threats to the Church is imbalance. When the Word is emphasized without the Spirit, knowledge increases but power diminishes. When the Spirit is emphasized without the Word, experiences multiply but foundations weaken. Scripture never separates the two. Jesus was full of the Spirit and anchored in the Word. We must be unapologetically both.
The future of the Church will not be secured by better strategies alone. It will be secured by believers who know who they are in Christ, walk in freedom, and live on mission. We are formed by the Word. We are led by the Spirit. We walk with victory — not to it — in Jesus' name.
"For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son."Romans 8:29
Walk with Victory
Walk with Victory is a transformative 12-week discipleship journey designed to anchor you in the triumphant life Jesus purchased for you on the Cross. This is not mere teaching — it is a pathway to reigning in life through grace, obedience, and the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:17).
The journey emphasizes your identity as an overcomer: free from sin's dominion, surrendered to Christ's Lordship, and empowered to disciple others. Each chapter includes core lessons with Scripture, a daily Victory Decree, practical steps, discipleship questions, and activation assignments.
Victory is not something you are trying to achieve — it is the life you are called to live right now, because Jesus has already won it all.
The Victory Walk Roadmap — 12 Weeks
Sin shall not have dominion over you. The old you is crucified with Christ — walk in the freedom already purchased by His blood.
Jesus is not just Savior — He is Lord. Surrendered lordship is the doorway to reigning in life through grace and freedom.
The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you. You fight from victory, not for it — in His overcoming power.
Jesus defeated Satan by declaring, "It is written." The Word is your sword. Prayer enforces the victory of Calvary.
The Cross was Satan's utter defeat. Put on the full armor of God, pull down strongholds, and enforce what Christ has won.
Your victory was never just for you. Disciples who make disciples is the heartbeat of the Kingdom advancing to the nations.
"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."1 Corinthians 15:57
Lead Pastor
Pastor Billy Philips leads Gathering in Victory with a burning conviction that the Church must return to its biblical center — anchored in Christ, activated by the Spirit, and formed in true discipleship. His teaching holds the Word and the Spirit together without compromise, drawing believers back to the rhythm of the early Church.
He is the author of Walk with Victory: A Discipleship Journey — a 12-week course equipping believers to walk not toward victory, but with it, because Christ has already won. His heart is to see a Church of activated sons and daughters, formed by the Word, and sent into the mission of making disciples of all nations.
